Speaker: Kohei Iwaki Title: Exact WKB analysis and topological recursion Abstract: Exact WKB analysis is an effective method for the global study of differential equations (containing a small parameter) defined on a complex domain. In the first talk, I'll give an introduction to this theory, and recall some basic facts about WKB solutions, Borel resummation, Stokes graphs etc. On the other hand, the topological recursion was originally formulated as an algorithm to compute the large N expansion of correlation/partition functions of matrix models from their spectral curves. In the second talk, Ifll explain how the topological recursion is related to the exact WKB analysis by showing several examples.
