On the second \ell-adic Abel-Jacobi map Kenichiro Kimura (Tsukuba University) |
The comlex Abel-Jacobi map associates an extension of Hodge structures to an algebraic cycle. There is an $\ell$-adic analogue of this map which associates an extension of $\ell$-adic Galois representations to an algebraic cycle. There are higher versions for the $\ell$-adic A-J map which do not have complex counterpart. I will give a description of the second $\ell$-adic A-J map as a 2-extenson of $\ell$-adic cohomologies. |

Discrete tomography and Hodge cycles Fumio Hazama (Tokyo Denki University) |
We study a problem in discrete tomography through the theory of distributions, and show that there is an intimate connection between the problem and the study of the Hodge cycles on abelian varieties of CM-type. |

Cycles on Varieties Over Subfields of the Complex Numbers James Lewis (University of Alberta) |
Abstract: In the context of algebraic and more generally cubic equivalence, we arrive at infinite rank results pertaining to spaces of algebraic cycles over certain subfields of the complex numbers, refining the recent works of Griffiths-Green-Paranjape and M. Saito. |
